What 903 Truck Beds does Jayhawk Trailers stock?
We stock both of the 903 lines: FD flatbed decks and SD skirted beds, in lengths from 7'0" through 9'4" and beyond, in 84" and 97" widths across a range of cab-to-axle and frame configurations. Most sit at the Truck Center in Fort Lupton, with some at our Commerce City lot.
Our shop installs what we sell, so the bed and the install come from the same place.
FD flatbed or SD skirted, which 903 bed do I need?
Choose FD when you load from the sides or with a forklift and want the lightest, simplest, most open deck. Choose SD when you want enclosed, lockable storage along the sides without giving up the open deck above it.
Skirted beds cost more and weigh more. They earn it if you currently keep tools in the cab or in a toolbox eating deck space.
How do I read a 903 model number like FD 9'4/97/60/34?
Four measurements in order: bed length, bed width, cab-to-axle, and frame width. That example is a 9-foot-4 flatbed, 97 inches wide, for a 60-inch cab-to-axle chassis on a 34-inch frame.
The last two numbers are fitment. The first two are your choice based on the work you do.
Will a 903 bed fit my truck?
Fitment comes down to cab-to-axle length, frame width, and single versus dual rear wheels. Common cab-to-axle dimensions are 56, 60, and 84 inches, and beds are built to the chassis rather than to the badge on the tailgate.

Is a steel truck bed a bad idea in Colorado?
No, but it needs attention the first spring. The magnesium chloride CDOT sprays on Front Range highways works into seams, fastener heads, and the wiring, and it keeps corroding after the road looks dry.
Rinse the underside after winter runs, keep the lighting grounds clean, and touch up deck scrapes before they open. Do that and a steel bed outlives the truck it is mounted on.
Can you order a 903 configuration you do not have in stock?
