Driving Times to Jayhawk Trailers

Is Jayhawk Trailers Easy to Get To? Driving Times from Nearby Cities

If you are already on the road and just need to plug us into your GPS, here are the quick answers:

  • Trailer Sales: 5591 E 72nd Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022
  • Parts & Service: 7255 Ivanhoe Street, Commerce City, CO 80022
(Located just around the corner in the big blue building, where the properties touch!)

For everyone else planning a trip, the most common question we get is, “Where exactly are you located?” While the simple answer is Commerce City, we know that for many people in the Denver Metro area, that can feel like a vague destination "somewhere north."

The reality? We are likely much closer than you think. Because of our proximity to major interchanges like I-270, I-76, and I-25, we are an easy drive from almost anywhere in the region—whether you are here to buy a new rig or get an old one fixed.

Driving Times to Jayhawk Trailers

To put it in perspective, here is a breakdown of how long it takes to reach us from major nearby cities and landmarks:

Starting Location Approx. Drive Time
Commerce City (Core) 5 Minutes
Thornton 10–15 Minutes
Downtown Denver (Coors Field) 15 Minutes
Westminster 15–20 Minutes
Aurora 20 Minutes
Arvada 20–25 Minutes
Denver Tech Center (DTC) 30 Minutes
Red Rocks Amphitheatre ~30 Minutes

Two Front Doors, One Convenient Location

We have grown to the point where we now have dedicated spaces for our different departments. While our properties are touching, we have two separate addresses and entrances to help you get the right help faster.

  1. The Sales Office (5591 E 72nd Ave)

If you are looking to purchase a trailer, head to the main sales lot facing 72nd Ave. You will see the inventory lined up—you can't miss it.

  1. Parts & Service Center (7255 Ivanhoe Street)

If you need a new hitch, a spare tire, or repairs on your current trailer, you will want our Parts & Service building.

How to get there: Instead of pulling into the main sales lot, you'll head just around the corner to 7255 Ivanhoe Street..

Why We Are Easier to Reach Than You Think

Even though we are northeast of Downtown Denver, our location is incredibly central for anyone hauling equipment. We are in between Highway 2 and 85, giving you immediate access to I-76, I-270, and I-70.

This is especially important for service customers. If you are towing a trailer that needs a repair—maybe the Lights are acting up or the wiring is faulty—the last thing you want to do is navigate tight city streets or downtown traffic. Our location allows you to stick to major highways almost the entire way, making the tow significantly less stressful.

If you are coming from the south, we are a straight shot up the highway—even from the Denver Tech Center, it’s generally just a 30-minute drive. I guess I’m biased, but isn't 30 minutes worth it to get exceptional expertise?

How Long Does a Visit Take?

We respect that you are busy, so we have optimized our process to get you back to work (or play) as fast as possible:

  • Buying Parts: If you need a specific part and we have it in stock, you can be in and out in 5–10 minutes.
  • Standard Purchase: If you know what trailer you want, we can usually have you hooked up and on the road in about 15 minutes.
  • Financed Purchase: If you are financing a trailer, the process typically takes 30–45 minutes.
  • Dropping Off for Service: Because of our dedicated service entrance at the Ivanhoe address, the physical drop-off takes just minutes. However, we strongly recommend scheduling your service in advance to minimize your trailer's downtime. While we do accept walk-ins and unscheduled repairs, we cannot guarantee when we will be able to squeeze them in between our scheduled jobs.

Located in the Heart of Industry

If you are wondering, "Why set up shop here?" the answer is simple: We are where the work gets done.

We are proud to be part of an industrial community where our neighbors are also our customers. For example, we are just minutes away from Allied Recycled Aggregates, a popular spot for contractors disposing of old concrete or picking up road base. There is a high concentration of blue-collar workers and business owners in this zip code, and we want to be right where you are working.
